New mattress for my fat belly-to-be

We're a combination of frugal and content/unmotivated, which has led to sleeping on the same tiny ass bed for the past 5 years. The mattress isn't quite even a full size as it goes on an antique bed frame made for tiny people of yesteryear. I like to snuggle, and I think Bill does too (if not, he's a good liar), but I think he wishes he didn't have to ALL the time. With my impending growth, we decided it was finally time to bite the bullet and buy a new mattress.

I did some pre-shopping and narrowed our choices down to just a few at a couple of stores. That was a chore in of itself as you can't compare apples to apples. Even if you are looking at the same Brand mattress at one store as another, they won't really be the same. 'Extra lush fancy pants super-mattress' = 'super plush euro fancy mattress' at another and how I am supposed to know if that = a good night sleep for me (and Bill too). So, I tried to ignore all of that and just go with what felt good when road testing, and what sales people didn't piss me off or make me feel dirty just being in close proximity of their sliminess. 6 shops and dozens of beds tested later, I took Bill back with me to make the final decision. We compared 2 quite similar mattresses at 2 different shops and ultimately went with the one that offered us the best pricing options.

Come this Sunday, we will be in posession of our very own Queen-sized Simmons Beautyrest 'Enjoyment' mattress. Bill can 'enjoy' the extra room for a while, but he better be prepared to start sharing more of it when my belly decides to starts to expand. Stumpy needs room to grow!
