9 weeks

I've always been a pretty vivid dreamer, but for the past week or so they have been out of control. They're not nightmares, but they are definitely more bizarre than usual. From what I have read, this is in the realm of normal, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it. I'm also getting up earlier, which I'm not sure if it's related. Usually, if I have to get up to pee before I'm really ready to get up I can still manage fall back asleep rather quickly when I return to bed for a quickie nap before having to really face the day. What can I say, I'm a sleep whore. However, now I just get right up, there's no more 'just 5 more minutes.' This too is weird and I don't like it one bit. These hormones better not be turning me in to my mother. Sorry mom, but I don't want to progressively get up earlier and earlier eventually rousing at 4 am and get to the point where I can no longer understand why others are such lazy bones.

All that aside, everything else has been going pretty well. I haven't had any other nausea scares and no other major food aversions.

Email excerpt (Mr. Bill, notice that it says 'she' this time):

Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks
