Pregnancy hormones are mean

We were very excited about getting our new car, but part of me was sad to be trading in my old car. It was my very first car ever, I paid for it myself, and it shared in a lot of adventures. It took us back to NY after I graduated from college, took me to my first day at my first adult job, survived being hit 3 times while parked on the mean streets of Chelsea, and well, it was a good car. Even so, it is just a car. I should have been able to feel a little sad about it without crying like a woman who just saw a puppy killed. Pregnancy hormones have a mind of their own and soon after we returned home from picking up the new car I was testy and then ugly face crying like a fool, full on with snot running down my face. Fortunately, Bill didn't flat out laugh at me, but brought me some tissues and left me to be ridiculous for a while before trying to help me feel better. I do feel better about it, but don't bring up the car or I just might start crying again.

while pregnant with me, my mom at one point yelled at my dad because it was raining outside. talk about pregnancy hormones! at least they were both good sports enough to think it was so funny, they recorded the episode in my baby book.
