I've recently experienced the joy of a symptom called 'pregnancy brain.' If you haven't heard of it, let me explain this lovely one. It causes people who normally have a fairly good memory to become forgetful and mix things up. How has it come in to my life? Well, I have two recent examples that illustrate it well.
First, this past weekend, I was scheduled to meet up with my friend Diane. We were supposed to meet on Saturday for lunch and a walk around the cute little town of Concord. I even emailed the night before confirming the time to meet, but somehow I had managed to convince myself that we were supposed to be meeting on Sunday. So, when my phone rang 10 minutes after I was supposed to have met her, I still didn't quite realize that I was late. I had completely mixed things up. Fortunately for me Diane was understanding and we were still able to meet up and had a great time.
Second, yesterday was my dad's birthday and I remembered that it was coming up last week, but come yesterday it was the furthest thing from my mind. That coupled with falling asleep on the couch again, I became the bad pregnant daughter who didn't call. Sorry, pops. I love ya! Happy birthday a day late!

ha ha ha. i just wrote about the same topic on our blog. it's a good thing we don't have anything major scheduled in the next couple of months involving the two of us - oh, wait... I won't blame you for forgetting something important if you won't blame me!
