We haven't decided if we want to find out the baby's sex yet. If we do find out, don't be surprised if we won't tell you. 1) we're bastards like that 2) if we decide to have more kids, the more gender neutral items that we have to re-use the better. To tease you in the meantime, I've found this entertaining Chinese gender chart. Legend states that the Chinese Gender Chart was buried in a royal tomb near Beijing over 700 years ago. The original is allegedly currently in the Institute of Science in Beijing. Rumors have it that this chart is over 90% accurate when used properly but remember that the chart is for entertainment purposes only.
So, to use the chart I had to calculate my 'Chinese Age' at time of conception. This can be different from what I think of as my age because due to the differences between the Gregorian calendar and the Chinese calendar. So, I plugged some numbers in to their handy dandy calculator, and it determined that I was 28 years old in Chinese years at that time.
Next up, I had to calculate the Chinese Lunar Month for the month of conception and found that to be month 10 in Chinese Lunar Months. So, with those pieces of information I examined the Chinese gender chart (link above) and it predicts a boy.
What do you think? Do you think it's malarkey? Either way, it's got a 50% chance of being right.

My God, Becky! You are a blogging fool! Sounds like you are having lots of fun being pregnant, which isn't something I commonly associate with the idea of pregnancy, so maybe there's hope for me yet. Loved catching up on your adventures. Much love, Di
