Pregnancy does not get one out of being carded
I think I've looked pregnant for a while, but I know what I looked like before (oh how I miss thee, waist), so it's possible that when I was feeling pretty pregnant looking strangers may still not have known. That said, I think it's fairly obvious to strangers that I am in fact pregnant now and not just thick around the middle. I also must look like an irresponsible not of legal age person, because this weekend, when I was picking up some booze for Bill, I was carded. I'm used to getting carded, and it generally doesn't bother me as people are just doing their jobs. However, most of the time the clerk will have this look of 'sorry, just a formality' whereas the guy this weekend looked genuinely concerned that I wasn't old enough to buy some booze. Or, maybe he was concerned that I planned on drinking it. Either way, pregnancy does not get one out of being carded.

I feel your pain, Becky...
A few weeks ago I went grocery shopping, and when I brought the beer to the register, the cashier looked at me - balding head reflecting the supermarket light, and Owen peaking out from the baby-carrier strapped across my chest - and asked for ID. Seriously.
